Dificultats per a la corresponsabilitat. La vigència del pare sustentador en l'imaginari col·lectiu
Resum
Actualment han guanyat visibilitat nous discursos que posen en dubte la imatge hegemònica de la paternitat —vinculada al rol de proveïdor econòmic— i que aposten per una paternitat més involucrada i cuidadora. Atès que el gènere és sempre relacional i la masculinitat es defineix socialment en contraposició a la feminitat, aquest treball analitza quines considera la ciutadania que són les imatges predominants de ser pare i ser mare en la societat espanyola. Per fer-ho, s'ha utilitzat l'Enquesta Social General Espanyola publicada el 2018 i realitzada pel CIS a una mostra representativa de la població. Els resultats mostren que la ciutadania creu que la imatge social del pare i de la mare continua estant clarament diferenciada: per a la figura paterna predomina el rol de sustentador econòmic de la família, mentre que la mare apareix vinculada a les tasques rutinàries de cura de menors. Les dones, les persones amb un nivell d'estudis i ingressos més alt i les menys religioses són les que en un grau més alt creuen que la societat vincula la imatge del pare al rol de proveïdor. Finalment, se suggereixen algunes implicacions polítiques d'aquests resultats, que al seu torn es reflecteixen en les demandes socials que assenyalen la necessitat de fer un canvi real de l'actual model de paternitat.
