The family between Anthropology and History
Abstract
In this paper the author examines the conceptual limitations of the study of family and kinship as normaly carried out by historians and anthropolists. Most oft he theoretical suppositions of both kind of studies are founded in cultural prejudices that can question the comparative scope of such theories. Reviewing the problem raised by the historical analysis of the domertic groups and the cultural accounts of kinship the autgor try to demonstrate that the study of family should leave the restricted domain of kinship and analyse the problem of the social reproduction.Published
