State, Family and Individual: Comments Regarding a Survey
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to show, through the results of a survey, how the notion of individual and the rights of the individual clash with what is presented as the family protector through the person known as the «head of the family». The author believes that the relative advantages of the adult males that are heads of the family -1ow unemployment rate, high level of unemployment benefit, high employment rate, securing stable contractual work- does not help to protect the economically dependent family members but brings about a dependent relationship between the adult males and the rest of the family members.Published
