Ageing and Family

Abstract

This paper examines some points about the relation: ageing and family, putting the emphasis on aspects that seem significant. Some of them are generals, as the growing interest, of almost all western countries, about their elderly population, and others are related to the dynamics of society, that has produced very important changes in several social sectors. The living conditions of the population in a hole, and more specifically those of the elderly population, are basic aspects to be learnt and taken into account, due to the repercussions of different situations that elderly population foced in their daily life. The purpose of the study of some of these situatiom concerning elderly people, is to understand them and think over possible solutions and alternatives. Some commitments must be taken to reach the highest degree of independence and freedom for them.
