¿Is it different in Spain...? Dominican and Moroccan Immigrant Women
Abstract
In the last years, female migration has increased in Spain, in big cities above all. The authors compare two female migrant groups: Moroccan and Dominican, taking as starting point their insertion in the labour market, specifically Domestic Service and Prostitution. The changes caused by this integration are analysed in this article. The understanding of the situation in the household of origin is essential to explain the self-perception of these changes and their consequences. Keywords
