Immigration and their fishing effects on Castellon’s habour

Abstract

This work studies the fishermen’s population on active service belonging to Castellon’s harbour (named Grao) between 1996 and 1998, by the methods of hedge and dragging. Besides it makes the difference among native and foreign population, putting the emphasis on their origins. The conditions of work in the fish shops and the crew composition are analyzed and researched, and the position on the shipping firm and the level of studies are connected with its personal and familiar procedence.
