Youth and work in France: trends and analyses
Abstract
This chapter puts on the fore general results and further research perspectives on the links between Youth, work, education and training from a sociological and economical point of view. First, Rose synthesises the main features of access to labour market for young people in France, emphasizing both structural trends and more recent aspects that are informed by improved observations and data. Then, he tackles the issue of the relationship between VET and employment, with a specific focus on the intervention of various stakeholders (individuals, firms, state and public policy). He concludes with some considerations about the added value of this kind of studies in the debates about Youth. Keywords
