The discourse knot of the sociology in seventies
Abstract
This article explores the concept of discourse knot, a time span of intense social agitation where diverse forms of discourse collide to interpret and label the events and happenings of such period. Discourse knot is also a key concept to understand better the processes whereby a social period or reality is explained and, at the same time, reduced, limited and constricted by the concept itself. In this paper, we present the current forms of discourse that aim to give their own interpretation and labelling of the decades of the seventies and eighties as two decades of: a) treachery to sociological legacy; b) antiscientific backlash; c) renewal, and d) the beginning of a new epoch. Keywords
