Transition from Training to Work. A Research Report from Switzerland

Abstract

This article analyses research themes regarding the transition from training into work in Switzerland. The purpose of this article is to outline and better understand the thematic options undertaken in this research. We begin by introducing the most important dimensions and features to define the problem of “transition” in our analysis. Next, we introduce the main trends in our field of research, based on a number of research projects carried out in Switzerland since 1980. Finally, we propose some research avenues reflecting scientific challenges of interest to future policy challenges.
