Social Intervention in a Net-Shaped «Society»
Abstract
One of the challenges of social scientists has always been, and will always be, the improvement of the ways of intervention in social reality. The bureaucratic and interventionist model, predominant since the 50´s, shows significant lacks in order to meet the new demands of an ever increasingly complex society that is oriented towards quality of life. This paper presents an alternative model based on a relational perspective, from which social problems are interpreted in terms of a complex relational network. Solutions to social problems in this network of relations are reached by acting upon those relations. This perspective promotes a collaboration among formal and informal networks that allows us to redefine welfare and that contributes to a more efficient care of the persons involved. Keywords
