Translating the "atravesado"

Abstract

This paper proposes a research model based on Homi Bhabha’s post-structuralist third space and Appiah’s and Delanty’s cosmopolitanism. This model can help us conceive new ways of translating hybrid literature – a literature which addresses ethnicity through a very particular use of language and which shows the asymmetrical problems of our contemporary society. These new traductological formulae may enable translators to face the challenges of the local and global hybrid society we live in.
