The European Community: International Organization or Political System?

Abstract

The European Community has a unique character in the present and historical framework of lnternational Relations. We are confronted by a federative process quite distinct from all other forms of intergovernmental cooperation, which has forced national political systems to adapt themselves in the face of political structures of supranational nature.
