Cuban educational system in the ninety’s

Abstract

Cuban development strategy has centred in the educational system, in order to modernize the economic structure and reduce social inequalities. The article examines the historical evolution of Cuban educational system from Spanish colonization, the 1959 revolution to the present decade. It analizes the main aspects of primary, secondary and higher education, as well as the most important endeavour towards XXIth Century.
