The situation of the universitary education in China

Abstract

Explaining the origin and evolution of Chinese university education, the article is centered in the central aspects that surround this subject at the present time. On the base of the participant observation the author analyzes the function that as much the family as the state attributes to the University in the context of an impetuous economic development that a society inhabites by 22% of the human species is transforming drastically and that is known little by the rest of the world. The auhor explains the organization of the academic formation, the form to accede to the University, the classification of the universities by its administrative dependency and its quality. Meanwhile the article introduces the social activities of the university actors: students and their associations, professors and their ideological tendencies. Finally the article ends in the presence of the marxism in Chinese academic world.
