Social class, type of family and educational achievement in Canarias
Abstract
This paper is a test for theories that focus on the relationship between young people educationalattainment, socioeconomic background and family structure. The data set are representative
for Canary Islands. The main conclusions are the socialization and the costbenefit
sensibility are important to explain educational choice.
